"Whispers of the New Moon"
Chapter 1: The Fateful Encounter
Jonathan's heart raced as he lay on the bed, his broken leg
throbbing with pain. The room was dimly lit, casting eerie shadows on the
worn-out furniture. Edgar Roger Fernandez, a tall and imposing figure, stood in
the corner, his piercing eyes fixed on Jonathan's every move.
Struggling to overcome his fear, Jonathan mustered the
courage to engage Edgar in conversation. "How did we end up here? What
happened after the accident?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly.
Edgar's lips curled into a cold smile as he recounted the
events that followed the collision. "After you collided with me, I saw an
opportunity. I knew I had to bring you to my home, away from prying eyes. Your
injuries were severe, and it was the perfect chance for us to talk."
Jonathan's mind raced, trying to find a way out of this
perilous situation. He knew he had to keep Edgar talking, to learn more about
him and his dark motives. "Why do you do these things, Edgar? What drives
you to commit such terrible acts?"
Edgar's eyes gleamed with a twisted excitement as he began
to unravel the depths of his malevolence. "The thrill, Jonathan. The
thrill of taking a life, of being in control of someone's fate. I revel in the
darkness, and the new moon nights hold a special power over me. It's when I
feel most alive."
Jonathan shuddered at the thought of the man's sadistic
pleasure, but he also recognized the opportunity to exploit Edgar's obsession
with the new moon nights. With his mind racing, Jonathan decided to delve
deeper into the twisted mind of his captor, hoping to uncover any weaknesses
that could aid his escape.
Chapter 2: Unveiling the Secrets
As the hours passed, Jonathan listened intently to Edgar's
tales of murder, trying to find a pattern, a clue that could help him
understand his captor's motives. Edgar's voice grew more animated as he
described the thrill he experienced during each kill, his chilling excitement
filling the room.
"Do you want to know a secret, Jonathan?" Edgar
whispered, leaning closer. "All of my victims share a common thread. They
are all connected to an event that happened in this very town many years ago,
on a night just like this."
Intrigued, Jonathan's curiosity grew. He needed to know more
about this event and its significance. "Tell me, Edgar. What happened that
night? Why does it haunt you so?"
Edgar's gaze turned distant, lost in the haunting memories.
"It was a night of tragedy, Jonathan. A group of teenagers, including your
brother, ventured into the vineyard. They disappeared without a trace, leaving
their families devastated. Since that night, I've been driven by an insatiable
hunger for revenge."
Jonathan's heart skipped a beat as his brother's name echoed
in the room. The pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place, fueling his
determination to bring justice to his brother and put an end to Edgar's reign
of terror.

I am eagerly waiting for the next part of the series.
